The ccmsetup.exe process is process file for System Center Configuration Manager (formerly SMS or Systems Management Server) developed by Microsoft. SCCM is a systems management product by Microsoft designed to manage and maintain large groups of Windows computers. SCCM provides a remote control, software distribution, patch management, network access protection, operating system deployment, and software and hardware inventory. Systems Management Server 2003 is Microsoft's new centralized system administration tool many IT departments use in remotely deploying applications, applying security patches, and providing IT software and hardware inventory management and/or asset control. Each chapter of the SMS features one task and outline for accomplishment together with the required functions, the necessary tools or scripts, and a task’s ideal results. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ccmsetup.exe. is used by System Center Configuration Manager, If you shut down ccmsetup.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ccmsetup.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is System Center Configuration Manager, from your system.
