An integral part of the Windows operating system from Microsoft, usually pre-installed in the computer unit as they are bought, is called IEC-61883 protocol driver with the file name 61883.sys. The main function of this system file is to receive specific data from a subunit protocol driver and hand it over to a bus driver that can respond to the command it received. This process generally receives data like function control protocol, files under the format of common isochronous packet, and commands requiring connection management procedures. These data are then read and translated for the purpose of the designated bus driver to function as necessary.
