What is  control.exe

The control.exe process file is an important component of the Microsoft Windows Operating System. It controls, manages, and integrates the computer hardware and coordinates the remote activities as well as data sharing when activated. Control.exe acts as the host for all the application programs in the entire machine. The Windows Control Panel serves as the control.exe interface. In it houses all the running programs and functions in the system, accessed by clicking on the Start button and selecting to display the Control Panel item. Control.exe has two ways of display method: the Category View where the icons are shown in categorized order, and the Classic View where the icons are displayed individually.
