The Lexmark Printer Card Transfer Monitor module aids these Lexmark firmware resources and device drivers in facilitating communications and data transmissions between the system, supported third party and built-in applications that require printing functionalities, networked Windows-based computers and the associated Lexmark printer device. The lxdeamon.exe process and the Printer Card Transfer Monitor module also assist these Lexmark firmware distributions and drivers for implementing printer device monitoring functionalities into the system. The lxdeamon.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these associated device driver software utilities and firmware components, which also means the lxdeamon.exe process is packaged into the installer distributions of these Lexmark firmware resources and drivers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lxdeamon.exe. is used by Lexmark Printer Firmware/Driver Software and Lexmark Printer Card Transfer Monitor Module, If you shut down lxdeamon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lxdeamon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lexmark Printer Firmware/Driver Software and Lexmark Printer Card Transfer Monitor Module, from your system.
