The lxdxmsdmon.exe file is an executable application process that is used by certain printers and AIO (All-In-One) machines with built-in printing/scanning/copying functionalities. The Printer Card Transfer Monitor module is a component resource library of the firmware utilities and device driver software distributions of certain Lexmark printer models and AIO machines, and this module is used for implementing the device status monitoring functionalities required by the Lexmark printer or AIO machine into the Windows-based system. The lxdxmsdmon.exe process is integrated into the Lexmark Printer Card Transfer Monitor module as one of its EXE components, and this means the lxdxmsdmon.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Lexmark Printer Card Transfer Monitor module, which is in turn integrated into the system upon the installation of the associated Lexmark printer/AIO firmware utilities and device driver software components. This also means the lxdxmsdmon.exe process is packaged into the installer distributions of these Lexmark printer/AIO drivers and firmware resources.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lxdxmsdmon.exe. is used by Lexmark Printer Firmware/Driver Software and Lexmark Printer Card Transfer Monitor Module, If you shut down lxdxmsdmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lxdxmsdmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lexmark Printer Firmware/Driver Software and Lexmark Printer Card Transfer Monitor Module, from your system.
