The file dllcache.exe has been classified as trojan backdoor that starts automatically from the RunServicesOnce entry in the registry. A trojan backdoor or remote access trojan is a program that appears innocuous and harmless, but contains a hidden malicious code. An example of program type that is used to launch a trojan backdoor are video codecs that are used to view online videos. Installation of a video codec from an unsafe site may also install spyware or other malicious software. Backdoor trojans, sometimes called remote access trojans (RAT), are the most dangerous trojans because they have the potential to allow remote administration of the computer system. Some observed behaviors of backdoor trojans include use of the system and Internet connection to send spam, stealing online and offline passwords and personal information like credit card number, address, phone number, and other sensitive information that are installed in the computer.
