The crssys.exe file has been flagged by the anti-malware programs of many users as a malicious application that is disguised as a legitimate Windows system process. These users claim that their system security tools classify the crssys.exe process as a malware application that is associated with variants of Trojan families reported to infect unprotected Windows-based systems with missing OS security certificates, unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and an unsecured Windows System Registry. These users state that the crssys.exe malware is capable of creating and injecting strings into the unsecured Windows System Registry of unprotected computers, especially if the system has missing OS security certificates. These registry keys and entries are said to instruct the system to allow the crssys.exe malware to automatically initialize during system startup and to operate as a hidden background process during system runtime. According to these users, the crssys.exe malware, while operating as a hidden background process, tries to find unencrypted TCP/IP network ports among other system vulnerabilities like outdated Web browsers that the crssys.exe process can exploit and use to download more malicious applications unto the system from predesignated rmote servers that are managed by the authors of the crssys.exe malware.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. crssys.exe. is used by Trojan, If you shut down crssys.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop crssys.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan, from your system.
