The comcap16.dll file has been classified by the system security tools of many users as a component of a malicious program that is said to be capable of downloading more malware items unto the Windows-based system. Other user reports state that a lot of reliable anti-malware applications flag the comcap16.dll file as a Trojan with spyware functionalities, which means the comcap16.dll file in this case is said to be capable of gathering private user details and Internet surfing information from the infected Windows-based system and its default Web browser, and transmit these collected details to predesignated Web servers for further processing, on top of the comcap16.dll file's alleged ability to download more malicious applications unto the already infected system from the same remote servers that are said to be managed by the authors of the comcap16.dll malware.
