Hi Gale,
Welcome to Reviversoft answers. Thank you for posting your issue here with us. You could try this fix : Open Start, enter Device Manager, and select it from the list of results. Under Sound, video, and game controllers, select your sound card, open it, select the Driver tab, and select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, look for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions. If those steps didn't work, try uninstalling your audio driver: open Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) the audio driver, and select Uninstall. Restart your device and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver. If that didn't work, try using the generic audio driver that comes with Windows. Here's how: in Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) your audio driver > Update driver software... > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select High Definition Audio Device, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it. Let me know if this helps you. Happy computing! John |

Hi Gale,
If you're facing issues with sound, you can try the following steps: 1) On powerup, go into your BIOS settings (hit F2 on beep). 2) Find the "Integrated devices" options. 3) Change your default graphics from "Discrete" to "IGFX". You can also assign the Default sound set to the Digital Output Devices (SPDIF) in the Sound settings Control Panel. If the above step doesn't work, You will have to look on the manufacturer’s website and see if you have any sound drivers available and are compatible with your Windows 7. Here are three ways to install a driver:
To update the driver using Windows Update
To download and install a driver yourselfIf Windows can't find a driver for your sound card or sound processor, and the device didn't come with driver software, you can look for a driver on the manufacturer's website. Driver updates are often available in the support section of such websites. To locate the driver, find the manufacturer and model name or number of your sound card, and then visit the Hardware and software vendor contact information website. Once you find your manufacturer, go to its website and locate and download the latest driver for your sound card. If there's an updated driver, follow the installation instructions on the website. Most drivers are self-installing—after you download them, you usually double-click the file to begin the installation, and then the driver installs itself on your computer. I hope this helps.
