Hi Rachid,

If you know your Hdd password, you can simply go into your BIOS setup and disable the password.

You may also follow the instructions below:

1.Turn on your computer and enter the current hard drive password when prompted to do so.

2. Start pressing the BIOS access key once you see the initial boot screen. The key you need to press will vary depending on the manufacturer of your computer. Common keys used, though, are the "F1," "Delete" and "F11" keys.

3. Click the "Security" or "Passwords" menu option in the System Setup utility or BIOS Setup screen.

4. Click the "Hard Disk Password," "Hard Drive Password," "HDD Password" or other similar option and then click the "Change Password" or "Remove Password" option. Enter your current hard drive password when prompted to do so.

5. Press the "Enter" key or click the "OK" button without typing a new password. The utility resets the HDD password to a null or empty value (so you do not need to enter a password when the laptop starts). If your laptop has a "Remove Password" option, you should not need to do anything after you click the option and enter the current HDD password.

6. Restart your PC/laptop. The system should no longer prompt you for the HDD password.

I hope this helps!

Martin

Hi Rachid,

Thanks for the update.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove your HDD password without using any third party software. We recommend contacting your HDD or computer's manufacturer support and request for further assistance regarding the issue.

Furthermore, you may refer to the link below for programs that should help in removing your HDD password:

HDD unlock: http://www.hddunloc...

A-FF Repair Station: http://hdd-tools.co...

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately breaking HDD passwords is not legally possible. You will need to remember the password, or contact the manufacturer of the drive to try to get some help.

I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
