What is the actual data format of the .esx file extension?

This file extension is used for Xactimate Insurance Claims. It seems after a bit of research that this is some sort of rich text format file. I would recommend tryinig to open it with an application called Notepad++. It\'s a great application for opening text based files no matter what the extension.

Maybe you can get a free trial of the software so that you can open the file?
