This message just means that Google Chrome has stopped working, Usually due to a faulty installation.

You can try this:
  • Go to the Start Menu
  • Select Control Panel
  • Go to Add and Remove Applications
  • Find Google Chrome, and press "Uninstall"
  • Once this process has finished, download and install Google Chrome again
Usually reinstalling fixes most problems with chrome, if it doesn't, just comment again in here, and I can help you out.

Hi Elroy,

I would suggest you to follow the steps provided below and update me on the status of the issue.

Method 1: Delete your cache and other browser data and check.
Delete all your data
  1. In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu Chrome Menu.
  2. Select More tools > Clear browsing data.
  3. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
  4. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
  5. Click Clear browsing data.
Method 2: Let’s place the computer in clean boot mode and check.
  1. Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.
  2. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility.
Note If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)A screenshot for this step.
  4. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.A screenshot for this step.
  5. Click OK, and then click Restart.

After the computer is restarted, you will have a clean boot environment. Then try using Google Chrome. It should work fine.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck,
Lokesh

I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
