What is  wmiadap.exe

The wmiadap.exe process is also known as the WMI and is owned by the Microsoft Corporation. It gives its interface uniformity for any remote or local scripts or applications that gathers management data from a PC system, an enterprise or a network. This uniform interface is built so that the WMI client scripts and applications would not need to make calls on differing operating system APIs (application programming interfaces). Many APIs are not called by automation clients unlike Visual Basic applications or scripts. There are also other APIs that do not make calls to computers from remote locations. This program is an infrastructure for management operations and data for the Windows operating systems. The user can write WMI applications and scripts to operate administrative tasks from a remote computer; the WMI also provides management data to systems like System Center Operations Manager (Microsoft Operations Manager or MOM) or WinRM (Windows Remote Management). This file is considered to be safe and does not present any hazardous elements.
