What is sr_gui.exe
Known by the service name SecureClient Application, also SR_GUI, the sr_gui.exe file is a Windows module that is bundled in the software VPN-1 SecuRemote or VPN-1 SecureClient, also Check Point VPN-1, which is developed by Check Point Software Technologies. VPN-1 SecuRemote or SecureClient is a type of network and connectivity software, in which VPN stands for virtual private network, that support standard protocols and algorithms of VPN to provide compatibility with the security policies of VPN-1 and Firewall-1, as well as fixed IP addressed for Internet Service Provider or ISP services, which include cable modem, dial-up and Digital Subscriber Lines, or commonly called as DSL. Generally, both programs are made to protect business or commercial communications on wireless and traditional local area networks (LANs). As a core component, the SecureClient Application service, or sr_gui.exe, is essentially important to be running on the system; otherwise, it can disable the program VPN-1 SecuRemote or VPN-1 SecureClient, and prevent it from launching the different tasks related to connectivity.
