Visioneer has developed OneTouch technology which uses the otservice.exe file in their software OneTouch. Upon initialization, otservice.exe will run and activate the software OneTouch. From here, the user is provided with an easy to use device that is connected to the control panel of a Visioneer device like the scanner. The user can adjust the settings of the scanner by which the user can scan a document automatically to email, to Microsoft Word, to printer, or to a file folder. Otservice.exe also enables user to use the links that are integrated in OneTouch. Visioneer OneTouch links offer users with a pre-selected application into which they can scan the documents directly. Otservice.exe provides a set of buttons from which the user can choose from to call on the functionality he or she requires. The EXE file will continue to offer efficiencies to the user while it continues to run in the computer system.
How can I stop otservice.exe and should I?
Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. otservice.exe. is used by Visioneer OneTouch, If you shut down otservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
