What is  mfeann.exe

The process typically known as VSCore Announcer is part of the software for various McAfee Antivirus programs, which is initialized by the executable file mfeann.exe. This is a core file that several McAfee AV programs use. This means that when you install any of McAfee’s AV programs, you will most likely find the mfeann.exe installed on your computer as well. Basically, the file executes a process that serves as the event logger for your antivirus software. Aside from this, the file also generates events for the AV program. The process likewise displays a virus detection dialog box for the On-Access Scan application. In other words, the file is used for a number of applications included in McAfee AV software. This being said, it is recommended that the file be kept in its original state: configured to run upon startup, and enabled to run together with the main AV program. The file can normally be located in the Program Files folder, written as C:\Prorgam Files\McAfee\VirusScan Enterprise\mfeann.exe.
