What is  hcontrol.exe

The hcontrol.exe process is also known as the ASUS ATK Hotkey and it was created by the ASUSTek Computer Inc. The ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is a widely known Taiwanese computer electronics and hardware company. It sells products such as desktops, laptops, motherboards, tablet PCs, monitors, video cards, servers and mobile phones. The program makes use of special keys, hotkeys and functions on most of the Asus laptops. This program is a running program and can be executed with the SYSTEM account in the Windows and contains sizable privileges on the user’s local computer. The file is executed by the process asldrsrv.ece which is also known as the ADSMSrv by the ASUSTeK computer. It is recommended that this process remain within the user’s computer system and should not be erased as it may cause unnecessary dysfunctions when tinkered with. This process possesses no visible threats and is considered safe by the user. It is a convenient tool that facilitates the functionality of the user’s computer system.
