What is  googleae.dll

The file googleae.dll, known as GoogleAFE.dll, belongs to software Sample code for GoogleAFE by Google. The file googleae.dll is a direct link library (DLL) file that installs as a browser helper object (BHO) in the computer. This process is a browser plugin for the Internet browser, and is pre-installed in some Dell computers. This plugin adds functionality to the Internet browser by automatically searching Google for ambiguous websites or searches entered by the user. When the user enters the address of a website incorrectly in Internet Explorer (IE), GoogleAFE will automatically search Google for the website it believes you meant to enter. This automatic browser redirection gives Dell a small source of recurring income. Some computer users may not like this process particularly if Google is not their search engine. GoogleAFE can be easily removed or uninstalled from the computer if the browser redirection it provides is not considered necessary.
