The file ggdrive32.exe, known as HijackThis, belongs to software HijackThis by TrendMicro. Hijackthis is an open source program that can be used to quickly spot homepage hijackers and startup programs that are not wanted by the user to start automatically. This enumerator program lists processes that start up automatically on the computer as well as other configuration information that is commonly hijacked. Since there is no filter on the enumerated list, the user should research each entry before removing any listed program to avoid removing essential processes. HijackThis generates a plain text log file that details all entries it finds, and some entries can be fixed by the application. Users should exercise caution when 'hijacking' a process, or to seek help since the application does not discriminate between unwanted and legitimate applications. HijackThis attempts to create backups of the files and registry entries that can be used to restore the system in the event of a mistake.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ggdrive32.exe. is used by Hijack This, If you shut down ggdrive32.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ggdrive32.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hijack This, from your system.
