The file gebca. dll is a browser helper object that runs automatically every time the Internet browser starts. It is a process that relates to the Trojan Virtumonde, which is a spyware application that regenerates itself every time the user tries to terminate the process and remove its files. Vitumonde is designed as an application that for displaying advertisements on compromised computers. It downloads files and displays popup advertisements, and is known to be distributed through drive-by downloads, spam email, peer-to-peer file sharing, and other malware. The advertisements and popups displayed by Virtumonde include those for fraudulent or misleading applications, fake scan results, intrusive popups, and so called alerts that masquerade as being from legitimate security software. These advertisements generally link to sites offering non-functional and harmful programs that pose to remove non-existent malware from the computer in return for payment. It lowers the security settings of the computer, disables certain system software and prevents access to some websites.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gebca.dll. is used by Virtumonde, If you shut down gebca.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gebca.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Virtumonde, from your system.
