This software contains six file utilities that include FTP, Sync Manager, Size Manager, Dialog Helper, Archive Manager and File Finder. FTP access is enabled through an easy-to-use drag and drop interface that allows the user to view FTP sites in folders to facilitate selection and set-up. The Sync Manager is a useful tool for comparison, synchronization and backup of files that are shared between two computers, while the Size Manager allows efficient management of drive storage space. `PowerDesk enables compression and expansion of files from more than thirty popular compression formats through its Archive Manager. File management tools include color customization of folders, MP3 collection management, File Info Column that displays specific details about each file in the pane viewer, and a Layout Manager for the creation of single-click icons in the desktop.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. filemonitor32.dll. is used by PowerDesk, If you shut down filemonitor32.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
