What is  etcrtmng.exe

The file etcrtmng.exe, known as Certificate Store Initialization, belongs to software eToken Run Time Environment by Aladdin Knowledge Systems. The eToken is a small and portable reader-less smartcard with standard USB connectivity that is used for strong 2-factor user authentication, digital signing of business transactions, and secure storage of PKI private keys, digital certificates, passwords, and files. The eToken Run Time Environment (RTE) is the PKI client that installs all the necessary files and eToken drivers to support eToken integration with various security applications. It enables the Windows operating system and third party applications to access the eToken. Versions of the RTE are available for Windows Vista 64-bit and 32-bit. The open standards that are used in eToken are the PC/SC, which is the industry standard for smartcards in a PC environment, APDU (Application Protocol Data Units), CAPI (Microsoft Cryptographic Application Programming Interface) and Public Key Cryptographic Standard #11 (Cryptoki).
