The cxtpls_loader.exe process is an executable file that has been identified by the anti-malware tools of many users as an EXE component process of the Trojan.LowZones program, which is a family of Trojans known to be distributed as the cxtpls.dll malware. These users claim that the cxtpls_loader.exe process is embedded with auto-activating functionalities implemented by the cxtpls_loader.exe process upon its successful placement and execution in unprotected Windows-based computers with outdated OS security certificates, unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and an unsecured Windows System Registry. These users also claim that the autorun functionalities of the cxtpls_loader.exe process enables this malicious program to create and inject keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry of the unprotected system, and this also loads the necessary registry strings that can allow the cxtpls.dll malware to automatically initialize during system startup and operate as a cloacked background process during system runtime. These users reported that the cxtpls_loader.exe process assists in the integration of the cxtpls.dll malware into the system, and also enables the cxtpls.dll malware to exploit the unencrypted TCP/IP network ports of the unprotected Windows-based computer. These exploited system vulnerabilities are then said to be used by the cxtpls.dll malware for downloading more malicious applications unto the system, for receiving directives from predesignated remote servers that are also said to be managed by the authors of the cxtpls.dll malware, for secretly gathering private user details and Internet surfing information from the infected system and its installed Web browsers, and for transmitting these details to the remote servers of its authors.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cxtpls_loader.exe. is used by Trojan.LowZones, If you shut down cxtpls_loader.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cxtpls_loader.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan.LowZones, from your system.
