What is corpol32.dll
The corpol32.dll file has been reported by many users as a malicious program classified by their anti-malware tools as a variant of the TROJ_TRACUR.SMDI application, which is a family of Trojans known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems with missing OS security certificates, unencrypted TCP/IP network ports, outdated Web browsers and an unsecured Windows System Registry. These users also claim that the corpol32.dll malware has executable component processes that can automatically initialize during system startup and covertly activate the corpol32.dll malware during system runtime. These executable component processes of the corpol32.dll malware can also allegedly create and inject keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry of the unprotected system, especially systems with missing or outdated OS security certificates, and these registry keys and entries are said to instruct the system to allow these executable components to autoamtically run during system startup and the corpol32.dll malware to secretly find and exploit unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and outdated Web browsers during system runtime. These users also claim that the corpol32.dll malware, upon exploiting these unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and outdated Web browsers, use these system vulnerabilities to initiate contact with predesignated remote servers that are managed by the authors of the corpol32.dll malware. Upon establishing data transmission and communication lines with these remote servers, the corpol32.dll malware is said to download more malicious programs unto the system and retrieve pop-up advertisements from these remote servers, which are displayed while the user is browsing the Internet. Other users state that their own system security tools flag the corpol32.dll file as a malware item associated with a variant of the W32.Ackantta!gen application, which is another family of Trojans.
How can I stop corpol32.dll and should I?
Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. corpol32.dll. is used by TROJ_TRACUR.SMDI and W32.Ackantta!gen Trojan, If you shut down corpol32.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
