The file cmbatt.sys is a Windows driver which enables the computer to communicate with hardware to other connected devices. This file is also known as Control Method Battery Driver which is a part of the Microsoft Control battery driver system that belongs to Microsoft ACPI Control Method Battery Driver from the trusted company of the Microsoft. This is a part of the Windows system file wherein the user could have the opportunity to manipulate its behavior. The file has no visible window, but this could be removed or uninstalled using the Add/Remove program services located in the control Panel or through the use of other programs. The file can be found in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder with a known file size of 14,080 bytes in Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cmbatt.sys. is used by Microsoft, If you shut down cmbatt.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cmbatt.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft, from your system.
