The clbcatix.dll file has been classified by the system security tools of many users as a malicious program with Trojan-like functionalities, and these same users claim that the clbcatix.dll file is disguised as the legitimate clbcatex.dll file, which is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module built into Microsoft Windows for housing the Control List Box elements of the COM+ Configuration Catalog library of the Windows OS, in order to trick users into thinking that the clbcatix.dll file is a valid modular component of their Windows-based systems. Some of these users state that the clbcatix.dll file is activated upon system startup by an EXE process that comes bundled with this malicious program, and this happens upon the successful placement and activation of that executable process, while other users claim that the clbcatix.dll file itself has self-initialization functionalities. This allows the clbcatix.dll file to run during system startup because of certain registry keys and entries this file is said to create and inject into the Windows System Registry right after its integration and activation in the system. These users reported that the clbcatix.dll file can operate as a hidden background process and search for system vulnerabilities that it can exploit, such as unprotected TCP/IP network ports that the clbcatix.dll file is said to use for downloading more malicious applications unto the system from predesignated Web servers, and these resources are managed by the authors of the clbcatix.dll file.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. clbcatix.dll. is used by Trojan, If you shut down clbcatix.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop clbcatix.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan, from your system.
