The classicstartmenu.exe process is an executable file developed by IvoSoft and is a part of the Classic Shell product, which is an open source software and is described as a program integrated with a set of features that is in recent versions of Windows (from Vista to Windows 7) with three major elements, and these include Classic Start Menu, Classic IE9 and Classic Explorer. This file is a duplicate of the earliest version of the Start menu. Some of its features include Microsoft Active Accessibility support, original Windows Start menu options, expandable Control Panel feature, and a function to show documents that were recently used. It can also allow users to sort, delete, accomplish other tasks and rename menu items as well as reposition or organize applications by dragging and dropping its icons. The classicstartmenu.exe process and the Classic Shell program are also implemented with skinnable features and can be used for 32 and 64-bit Windows platforms.
