What is caxchg.exe
The caxchg.exe process is an executable file that has been reported by many users as a malicious variant belonging to certain families of Trojans and spyware programs. The same users claimed that the caxchg.exe file is integrated with the ability to create entries and keys that can be injected into the Windows System Registry upon the successful placement and execution of the caxchg.exe file in the system. After entering these malicious code into the Windows System Registry, the caxchg.exe can then automatically initialize during system startup, according to the same user reports. The same users stated that the caxchg.exe process then proceeds to covertly operate as a background process during system runtime, in order to find TCP/IP network ports that are vulnerable for exploitation or hijacking. These vulnerable TCP/IP network ports, according to these reports, are then used by the caxchg.exe file to initiate contact with the Web servers of its authors. Some users claimed that the caxchg.exe process then gathers confidential data and Internet browsing information without user consent from the infected system and its default Web browser, and these pieces of data are then forwarded to these Web servers.
How can I stop caxchg.exe and should I?
Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. caxchg.exe. is used by Trojan/Backdoor Rootkit/Spyware, If you shut down caxchg.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
