Avast Anti-virus software hosts the ashserv.exe file. It has a very important function once the antivirus program is executed, because it mainly detects and scans viruses, spyware and other malicious threats that can harm the computer system. The application Avast Anti-virus has features that secure the computer from harmful threats like viruses, spyware and adware. Features included are automatic updates, enhanced and simple user interfaces, virus chest, script blocker, integrated virus cleaner, network shield, resident protection and system integration. Without the file ashserv.exe, it is not possible to diagnose the computer if there is any malicious activity or threat at all. Therefore, this file has to be continually running once the computer is turned on or the Windows is launched.
