This process file, alxtb1.dll, is a *.dll file that has been developed by Alexa Internet and is a property of the software AlxTB Module. AlxTB Module has a file size of 520,281 KB with varying versions of 7, 0, 1, and 57. It is normally located on the C:\Program Files folder of a Windows computer. AlxTB Module is a Browser Helper Object (BHO). It can be installed by the user on the browser as a toolbar or plugin. As a browser helper object, this process can start itself automatically every time a web browser is opened by the user. It cannot easily be detected by antivirus software or firewalls because it runs as the browser itself on the user’s computer. Browser Helper Objects are highly utilized by adware and spywares. If detected to be doing that, users can uninstall or disable the associated program from the control panel.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. alxtb1.dll. is used by AlxTB Module, If you shut down alxtb1.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
