What is  aestfltr.exe

The file aestfltr.exe is associated with two types of software. The first one is the software from Andrea Electronics Corporation for the application known as AESFltrs Application, which installs the executable aestfltr.exe file’s process called AEFltrs MFC Application. The second one is software for AudioCommander, which is actually also from Andrea electronics. For the first application, the file is usually installed already by OEMs on certain laptops. The file enables the audio functions of your laptop. If you disable this pre-installed file, your audio device might not function properly. For the second application, the file serves as a configuration application to control and manipulate audio features, including volume control. Simply put, the file serves as the User Interface for the application. The file’s usual location on disk is C:\Windows\System 32 for the pre-installed version, and C:\Program Files\Andrea Electronics\AudioCommander\aestfltr.exe for the second type of file. File size could be anywhere from 466,944 bytes to 737,280 bytes.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. aestfltr.exe. is used by AEFltrs MFC Application, If you shut down aestfltr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
