SAP BusinessObjects software

SAP BusinessObjects is a business management software that provides support for planning, performance management, analysis, query, reporting and enterprise information management. Acquired by SAP AG in 2007, the first product to be launched is the BusinessObjects XI. Currently, there are four editions of the software – Edge edition Standard package, Edge edition with Data Integration, Edge edition with Data Management and Edge Analytics edition. The Standard package features self-service ad hoc reporting, query and analysis. Data Integration highlights data lineage tracing, metadata integration and management of disparate data systems. Data Management features centralization of data management process, ability to fix data issues, data integrity verification through address verification and speed ROI. Meanwhile, Edge Analytics deal more with analysis of large volumes of data, leverage analytics that can be customized according to business needs, data integration and business intelligence in a single package for medium-sized business.
