Ableton Live

Ableton Live is software which was developed by Ableton that provides its user a Digital Audio Workstation and music sequencer in just one package. It was created for Mac and Windows users. The software was designed in such a way that it can act as an instrument to be used during live performance and at the same time will serve as a tool for mixing, composing, mastering, arranging and recording of music. Ableton Live can also be used for beatmixing since it includes controls that can be used for crossfading and beatmatching together with a wide variety of other special effects which are commonly used by turntablists. C++ is the language used in the creation of this software. Ableton Live comes with built-in instruments that can be used in the process of creating a piece which includes Impulse, Drum Rack and Simpler among the others.
