The ycmmirage.exe process is an executable program that was created by CyberLink. CyberLink is a multimedia and digital entertainment software corporation. Its products include PowerDVD, media center software (PowerCinema), PowerDirector (video editing software), PowerProducer (DVD authoring software), and multimedia software suit (CyberLink Media Suite), CyberLink MediaShow (image organizer and viewer and optical disk authoring software (Power2Go). This process is a 64-bit program which operates with the privileges as the user is currently logged in his or her user account and it is executed by the process, Task Scheduler Engine by Microsoft (tasking.exe). The Task Scheduler gives the ability to schedule a specific launch of scripts or programs at either its own pre-defined times or after their specified time intervals. This program is a background process that monitors any AP (if any) that is using the user’s virtual driver. Upon being detected, the YCMMirage will then launch YouCam, while YouCam will then give and share webcam video contents to the user’s AP.
