Autoupdater Service Module is the other name of the file yahooauservice.exe. This file belongs to the software called Yahoo!AutoUpdater which was made by Yahoo!. This program updates the yahoo messenger with the latest security patches and other improvements that Yahoo! Made. The file is a Verisigned file which means that the file is a trusted file and is also digitally signed by the author of the file. The file yahooauservice.exe is not a Windows system file and has no visible window for the user to manipulate the behavior of the program. A Verisigned file is not recommended to be removed from the Personal Computer. However, the user may have the option to remove the file by removing the entire software in which the file is bundled with. This can be done by using the Add/Remove Program Utility. This utility can be located in the Control Panel of Microsoft Windows Operating System.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. yahooauservice.exe. is used by Yahoo, If you shut down yahooauservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop yahooauservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Yahoo, from your system.
