Together with the xmasscsi.sys file, the xmasbus.sys process is a virtual driver file for Microsoft Windows 32 and 64-bit operating systems up to Windows 8 versions, and these driver files are installed by Alcohol 120%, a creation of Alcohol Soft. Alcohol 120% is an emulation and creation program that generates and burns backup copies for tangible DVDs and CDs. The xmasbus.sys driver file permits communications between the user’s hardware and connected devices, which means this driver file provides this program with direct access to the internal data of the operating system, hardware components and other connected devices. With the xmasscsi.sys file, the Alcohol 120% software can retract files from CDs and DVDs, and mount these disk images unto 31 virtual drives that can be created in the system using this program. Its pre-mastering functionalities allow users to burn files directly from the hard drives of the system. The Alcohol 120% application is embedded with compatibility support for a broad spectrum of DVD/CD image files, including .mds, .iso, .bwt, .b5t, .b6t, .ccd, .isz, .cue, .cdi, .pdi and .nrg formats.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. xmasbus.sys. is used by Alcohol 120%, If you shut down xmasbus.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop xmasbus.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Alcohol 120%, from your system.
