What is  wkfud.exe

The executable process file, wkfud.exe, as registered with the run identifier, “WorksFUD”, is developed by Microsoft Corporation as part of Microsoft Works software v6.0. It features a memory usage file size of 24,576 bytes on the operating system Microsoft Windows 7/XP. Upon running, the process file executes a visible window to make the user be aware that wkfud.exe is actuated in the computer. The wkfud.exe is neither a background process, nor is a system process by Microsoft and as a core file of Windows, rather, its characteristics is closely related to that of an application. The development of the application has been made to allow the use of marketing functions to its programs of Microsoft Works software. The execution command located in the subfolder common path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\wkfud.exe starts upon entry loading in the Windows registry key of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Furthermore, the normal program requires the internet and network for normal function to have it run properly.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. wkfud.exe. is used by Microsoft Works, If you shut down wkfud.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
