Microsoft Works Task Launcher is the service name of the executable or EXE file called msworks.exe, which is a component of the program Microsoft Works, and is created by Microsoft Corporation, exclusively for Windows computers. The Microsoft Works Task Launcher application, or msworks.exe, is intended to open certain programs designed or developed by Microsoft, which includes Microsoft Work, and Microsoft Office tools, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Excel. This module works by simply clicking the program, and is able to provide the user an instant access of the clicked application. As a Microsoft product, the file msworks.exe definitely works on all versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, namely Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME. Regardless of the Windows OS used, msworks.exe is able to run in the background, and it is advisable to keep it active and must not be terminated or stopped.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msworks.exe. is used by Microsoft Works , If you shut down msworks.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msworks.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft Works , from your system.
