The vsc.exe file is an executable application component process that is used by the VAIO Security Center software, which is an application classified as a firmware and driver software component of certain Sony VAIO laptop models that are bundled with Windows-based systems. The vsc.exe process is distributed with other program files, system and application-specific DLL modules, various background process items, certain SYS driver utilities and other component resources that are used and referenced by the firmware distributions and driver software packages of associated Sony VAIO laptops. The vsc.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of these firmware and driver software resources, and the VAIO Security Center module is activated upon the execution of the system or the associated VAIO firmware and driver software component of the vsc.exe process, since the vsc.exe file is specifically deployed as the executable dispatcher process of the VAIO Security Center module.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vsc.exe. is used by Sony VAIO Security Center, If you shut down vsc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop vsc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sony VAIO Security Center, from your system.
