The vsapi32.dll process is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is used and referenced by the Trend Micro PC-cillin software. This application is a Windows program classified as a system security tool that was developed by Trend Micro with a set of features for monitoring and protecting the system against hacker attacks, data security risks, system stability problems and user privacy threats caused by backdoor rootkits, viruses, worms, Trojans, badware components, spyware applications and other malware items. The Trend Micro PC-cillin software deploys the vsapi32.dll module as a component of the vSAPI32 module, which is an applet built into the Trend Micro PC-cillin program. The vsapi32.dll file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Trend Micro PC-cillin software and may be used and referenced by other Trend Micro software products that are also installed in the same Windows-based system. The vsapi32.dll file can accommodate simultaneous referencing requests from multiple applications because the content of the vsapi32.dll file is implemented with program logic compilation specifications that are normally integrated into source code stored in the DLL file format.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. vsapi32.dll. is used by Trend Micro PC-cillin and Trend Micro vSAPI32 Module, If you shut down vsapi32.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop vsapi32.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trend Micro PC-cillin and Trend Micro vSAPI32 Module, from your system.
