The file vptray.exe is a process which is also known as the Symantec Anti virus which belongs to the software called Norton Anti virus Corporate which is owned by Symantec. The program secures the Personal Computers from malicious software that would destroy the data in the Personal Computers and as well as software that would steal any data. The file can be usually found in the C:\Program Files\Symantec_Client_Security\Symantec AntiVirus. The usual file size would be 73,728 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). But the size of the file may vary when used in different version of Operating Systems. These systems are Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file does not belong to the Windows core file. But this file is a Verisigned file which means that this file belongs to the trusted file of the Microsoft. However, the file may be removed by using the Add/Remove Program utility in Windows Operating System
