What is  vboxsvc.exe

Called as VirtualBox Interface or Sun xVM VirtualBox Interface, the process vboxsvc.exe is a part of the program Oracle VM VirtualBox or Sun xVM VirtualBox, which is developed by Oracle, or Sun Microsystems. Oracle VM VirtualBox, which houses the module vboxsvc.exe, is an x86 virtualization application that is installed onto a host operating system, being the application, to allow other operating systems (OS), which are known as a Guest OS, and loaded and run with their own virtual platform. A type of an executable or EXE file, vboxsvc.exe is downloaded onto the computer where it stores itself to a folder location labeled as C:\Program Files on Windows, registers into the Windows registry, and starts to run and execute its function. This digitally signed process (innotek GmbH - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2) is recommended to remain running in the background, and must not be deleted, except if it affects the performance of the Windows operating system.
