The twunk_32.exe file is an instance of a Windows program, and a component of the software product Twain Thunker, which is created by Twain Working Group. Known by its service name Twain.dll Client's 32-Bit Thunking Server, twunk_32.exe is a module that is bundled in the software Twain Thunker. This implies that when the program is installed on the computer, this file is also downloaded, then stores itself on a folder location of a Windows computer, particularly in C:\Program Files, and runs in the background, once Twain Thunker is launched. If the file twunk_32.exe is stopped, or even deleted, the Twain Thunker software, regardless of its main function on the computer, is disabled. That is why it is recommended to keep this file stored and running in the background of the Windows computer. As a process, twunk_32.exe is possible to automatically run during Windows startup, but can be also manually executed, depending on its setting.
