What is  toolbarhelper.exe

The name of the process that is installed through the toolbarhelper.exe executable file is the same as its file name extension, ToolbarHelper.exe. The file appears to install when the software for StartNow Toolbar is installed on the computer. While the file is part of legitimate software, its main function seems a little unclear because there are no data available that can describe or define what the file’s main purpose is. The software is published by Copernic Toolbar, Inc. Its common description is IE Toolbar Helper. Standard location of the file is C:\Program Files\Copernic Desktop Search-Pro\Toolbar\toolbarhelper.exe. File size found on computers that run on Windows 7 OS is 616,960 bytes. The file has been associated with a form of malware, based on system issues encountered by several users. Users mostly deleted the file, especially after finding a cloaked malware version of it running on their PCs. If you are using IE, it is not recommended that you immediately disable the file since the description of the file points it towards IE. Disable only when you are certain that the file will not affect your IE browsing experience, or if you will not be using IE anymore as your Internet browser.
