The tmieplg.dll file is a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) process bundled with other modular resource files, SYS driver files, associated components and executable program resources that are required by applications included in the Trend Micro product line. This is a suite of Windows programs that are classified as system security tools. Developed by Trend Micro, these Windows programs are integrated with functions for monitoring, detecting and safeguarding the system against known data security issues, privacy risks and system stability threats caused by viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware items, backdoor rootkits and other malicious programs that can open the infected system to hacker attacks and illegitimate third party access. The tmieplg.dll module is specifically deployed as one of the components of the Trend Micro Client/Server Security Agent module, which is an applet built into these Trend Micro system security tools. This means the tmieplg.dll file is integrated into the system upon the installation of the associated Trend Micro application, which also means the tmieplg.dll file is implemented into the installer distribution packages of these Trend Micro software products.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. tmieplg.dll. is used by Trend Micro Client/Server Security Agent Module, If you shut down tmieplg.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop tmieplg.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trend Micro Client/Server Security Agent Module, from your system.
