Known as Wireless Switch Setting Utility, the switcher.exe process is a type of executable file, a Windows service, and a component of Wireless Switch Setting Utility software, or Verizon Media Manager, which is developed by Sony Corporation. The Wireless Switch Setting Utility service is created and used to update the software, that bundles the file switcher.exe, to version 3.6.01.18210. Aside from that, it also has the function to provide compatibility with one of the later versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which is Windows Vista. So, computers manufactured by Sony that have pre-installed Windows Vista as the operating system includes this utility tool with the original version of the software Wireless Switch Setting Utility. In addition, this software is available in other advanced versions, which are version 3.4, version 3.5, version 3.6, version 4.0, and version 4.1. Unless a user likes to disable the ability to update, switcher.exe is a module that must continuously running in the background of a Windows Vista computer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. switcher.exe. is used by Wireless Switch Setting Utility or Verizon Media Manager, If you shut down switcher.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop switcher.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Wireless Switch Setting Utility or Verizon Media Manager, from your system.
