What is  squid.exe

The squid.exe file is an executable component process integrated with the system drivers, modular DLL resources and other program files that are used and referenced by the Squid Web Proxy Cache software, which is a Windows application classified as an Internet proxy tool designed to speed up load times of websites and regularly visited Web pages. The squid.exe process is included in the client installer distribution packages of the Squid Web Proxy Cache program, which also means the squid.exe process is integrated into the system upon the installation of the Squid Web Proxy Cache client tool. The squid.exe process is also specifically deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the Squid Web Proxy Cache client program, which means the Squid Web Proxy Cache software can be activated and loaded unto the system by executing the squid.exe process. The squid.exe process and the Squid Web Proxy Cache software are embedded with compatibility support for Microsoft Windows NT/2000.
