Sentinel Protection Server for SuperPro and UltraPro Network Keys and Sentinel Protection Installer are processes related to the executable file spnsrvnt.exe. The file’s default location is the subfolder Common Files in C:\Program Files. It has a file path of C:\Program Files\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel Protection Server\WinNT\ spnsrvnt.exe. The file enables computer systems to recognize portable devices inserted into the USB slot. More specifically, the file serves as a USB dongle. The system will read devices inserted into the USB port, and if this is the first time that the device was inserted, the file will then enable the system to establish a connection with the device. When the file is inserted once again, the dongle driver installed in the system will recognize the device and allow the device to run. The file also enables some software programs to run when the corresponding USB dongle device is connected to the USB slot. Dismounting the dongle device from the USB port will prevent the software from launching.
