The file spkrmon.exe, known as SoundMAX Speaker Monitor Service, belongs to software spkrmon Module from an unknown developer. SoundMax is a suite of audio processing algorithms tailored to run on ADI (Analog Devices Inc.) components. The processing algorithms are licensed to equipment manufacturers who integrate them with ADI's signal processing solutions to deliver an optimal listening solution to clients. ADI is a semiconductor company that specializes in data conversion and signal conditioning technology, and is known for audio signal processing across a wide range of applications that include MP3 players, cellphones, professional recording and mastering equipment, and A/V equipment. SoundMax offers a variety of dedicated components for cost-sensitive, high-powered digital signal processors (SigmaDSP, Blackfin, and SHARC) for flexibility and performance. The file spkrmon.exe relates to the audio system that is installed in the computer that is powered by the integrated SoundMax algorithm and ADI device.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. spkrmon.exe. is used by spkrmon Module, If you shut down spkrmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop spkrmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is spkrmon Module, from your system.
