The sonytray.exe process is a Windows executable program developed by Sony Corporation. It is included in the software package bundles that come with a purchase of any Sony Digital Camera. It is the executable file that runs the essential software to use for the editing on a computer of a video recorded on this kind of camera. Sonytray.exe is not a Windows system process and it forms a normal part of PC operations. It is one that is able to record inputs and runs in the background. This process needs to be invoked by the user for it to work, after which, it may be accessed at the Windows traybar.
